Using Free Html Form Makers

September 26, 2007

Html Forms

Creating HTML forms requires some basic knowledge of html code. The basic structure for any form consists of:
open form
input
input
close form

The HTML form can be cusomized to include options such as checkboxes, radio buttons, and pulldown menus. You can give values to the input fields, checkboxes and pulldown menus. If you want the user to enter any value then use the input command and do not assign any values to the field.

Using Databases

Once the information has been submitted by a user into a form the next step is to store this information in a database. For this purpose you may choose to use any one of several databases available such as MYSQL or MSACCESS. MSACCESS generally is not built for industrial strength use meaning that storing too many records, such as over 10,000 may cause the database to become unstable. For this reason we recommend using a database such as MYSQL which can handle large volumes of data.

Taking Advantage of Free Html Form Makers

A simple alternative to learning html code and using databases is to use a free html form maker. There are a few good html form makers available such as CreateForms.com, FormSite and Freedback. You may consider trying these free form services to see which works the best for you.
